Fish fillet
You can make fish fillets with a fish fillet knife. The amount of fish fillets you get depends on the type of fish.
If the fish weight configuration option is enabled, the amount of fish fillets you receive will depend on the weight of the fish.
Fishing
Aquaculture 2 adds a new fishing rod to the game. You can still use vanilla fishing rods and mod fishing rods for Farming fishing. But only Fishing Aquaculture can attach equipment, adding various mechanisms to improve your fishing.
Improve fishing
Aquaculture adds a variety of mechanics that can increase your chances of catching something while your hook is released, such as bait. You can use bait to increase your chances of catching fish.
Bait includes:
- Worms
- Minnows
- leeches
You can get Leeches and Minutes by fishing, and Worms in the worm farm.
Fishing rod
The only difference between the slats is the different strength.

Hook
- Iron and Diamond: chance to not use durability.
- Gold: Increases luck.
- Light: shine farther.
- Heavy: shorter workpiece.
- Double: chance to catch two things. (ten%)
- Redstone: chance to fish longer.
- Note: audible warning when fish approaches.
- Netherstar: chance to not use durability and increase luck.
Cosmetics
The mods also add various cosmetic items to the game to customize your fishing rod.

- A bobber can be dyed like leather armor.

Settlement Box
- Aquaculture also adds Fishing Boxes. In it, you can store all these items and fishing lures.
The fishing box is also where you can attach your gear to the fishing rod
Items in the top corner can be Green Dye, Algae or Kelp
Neptuni device
- Aquaculture adds a new material called Neptunium to the game. You can craft tools and armor from Neptunium. This material has various properties when underwater.
- You can get this device or a Neptunium Ingot to craft it yourself by obtaining it from Neptune’s Bounty. Neptune’s Bounty is a rare loot. (The Luck of the Sea charm increases the chance of getting Neptune’s Bounty)
Armor
- Helmet: the wearer can see better underwater.
- Bra: the wearer breathes underwater.
- Leggings: the wearer “falls” underwater.
- Boots: people who wear shoes swim faster.
Tools
- Pickaxe and Shovel: No mining speed penalty while underwater.
- Sword and Ax: deals extra damage underwater.
- Bow: normal arrows fired from it are unhindered underwater.
- Hoe: hoeing with this item will always stay hydrated.
Worm farm
- The Worm Farm is a block that you can craft to obtain worms to use as fishing bait.
- You can use any similar item that can be used in a composter.
- Just right click on the worm farm with your bare hands or non-degradable item to get the worms out.
