Identity Mod

Discover a new guide for Identity Mod Wiki. Identity Mod allows players to freely transform into any entity they desire. Created with inspiration from Morph Mod. To get one’s form, you must first defeat that particular mob; then a small pop-up will notify you of your achievement.

Now you can explore the world with a great superpower. There will be no boundary that you cannot reach with such ability. Explore the ocean like a fish, travel to hell disguised as the Ghast, or even become Ender Man and make your way through The End without having to deal with The Dragon. You can literally become anything you want, from a mere bee to an Iron Golem.

Identity mod was originally built for the Fabric mod loader and is now available on Forge via Architectury. For information on configuring Identity & interacting with its API, visit the wiki page!

This project requires the Architecture API on Fabric & Forge.

With Identity, you can be anything you want: friend or foe, hot or cold, soft or rough.

Begin

To unlock Identity, kill a nearby mob. You will see a message above the hotbar informing you of the unlock. Press the ` key to swap between identities. Once you’ve equipped Identity, you can use its ability by pressing “R”. To see the available capabilities, check out the wiki page here.

Identity Mod Feature

Some mobs in Identity have special abilities that can be used by pressing the “R” key. These abilities have effects ranging from utility to damage and have different cooldowns depending on their potency.

To modify a skill’s cooldown, visit the AbilityCooldownMap configuration option. Entity IDs can be mapped to integers representing their skill cooldowns in a split second.

Ghast

Cooldown: 5s
Fire a fire bomb in your facing direction and explode on impact. Perfect to annoy your friends while running across the bridge in The Nether.

Creeper

Cooldown: 10 seconds
Summon an explosion around you… don’t worry, it won’t kill you and the blocks won’t break. Just don’t use it around pets.

Blaze

Cooldown: 1 second
Shoot a baby fireball in the direction you’re looking at. Cook those cows with style!

Enderman

Cooldown: 10 seconds
What did you think it would do? Click to teleport in the direction you are viewing.

Snow Golem

Cooldown: 0.5 seconds
Shoot a bunch of snowballs at your enemies!

Wither

Cooldown: 10 seconds
Fires a non-destructive Wither skull that deals massive damage to enemies.

Ender Dragon

Cooldown: 20 seconds
Fires a dragon fireball, dealing AOE damage.
