Natural generation
Regular stone bricks, as well as the occasional cracked and mossy stone bricks, created as part of the citadel, make up the majority of the walls, ceilings and floors. They and chiseled stone bricks can also be crafted as part of ocean ruins and ruined gates. The Igloo basement is lined with stone tiles. Additionally, three chiseled stone bricks form part of each forest temple. Stone bricks and moss bricks can also spawn in trail ruins.

Anecdote
- When smelting blocks of cobblestone, cracked rock, they turn into rock without cracks. However, when the stone bricks without cracks are melted, they turn into a variant with cracks.
- On Bedrock Edition, there is an unused data value for stone tiles called fine stone tiles, which can be obtained via command but cannot be obtained in survival mode or through the creative inventory.
