Upgrade
Recorder supports the following upgrades:
Acceleration card
Can be installed into ME IO Port,

This also increases the idle consumption of the machine

You can also insert a Boost Card into the Matter Cannon to increase the number of bullets fired per use, however, this causes the device to use more energy per bullet.
Automation
The recorder can be fully automated using a storage bus and many other means. Use the fact that specific sides of the recorder insert into specific slots to your advantage.
An early alternative to fully automated recorders is to use hoppers for semi-automation. Notice in the image below that the engravings have been rotated 90° clockwise using the Certus Quartz Wrench.
