Discover a new guide for Activator Rail Minecraft block Wiki. The trigger rail is a powerful rail that can eject players and mobs from regular mines, lock and unlock hopper mines, and set TNT on fire.

Break
The trigger rail can be broken by hand or using any tool, falling off on its own as an item, but the pickaxe is the fastest. To circumvent the trigger rail, exploit it:
Time spent on unenchanted tools used by the player without status effects, measured in seconds. For more information, see Breakthrough ยง Speed.
A trigger rail also drops as an item when the block below it is removed or a piston moves it into a floorless space below it.
Using
Trigger rails can be used as redstone rails and components.
To place the trigger rail, use the trigger rail item while pointing at the surface opposite the space the trigger rail will occupy. A trigger rail can be placed on:
- The top part of any fully opaque block (rock, dirt, gold block, etc.), including all-block mechanism components (command block, dispenser, dropper, note block, and stone lamp) red)
top of the funnel. - The trigger rail cannot be attached to the side or bottom of any block, but attempting to do so may cause the trigger rail to attach to the top of the block below the target space. For example, if the fence is above ground, attempting to attach the trigger rail to the side of the fence will cause the trigger rail to be attached to the ground next to the fence.
- When set, the trigger rail will configure itself to align with any adjacent rails (including detector rails, powered rails, and other trigger rails), as well as rails adjacent to a block. The behavior in Java and Bedrock versions differs in the following ways.
Activator Rail Minecraft is one of the best blocks that MC Wiki has just updated to the Minecraft Blocks list
In the Java version:
If there are two adjacent rails on non-opposite sides, or three or more adjacent rails, or no adjacent rails, the trigger rail will align itself to the direction the player is facing. If the current trigger rail is only connected to another rail or there is no track at all and the new rail is placed perpendicular to the trigger rail then the trigger rail will align itself to the east-west direction . If the track it aligns with is one block higher then the trigger rail will tilt upwards towards it (with multiple options to tilt upwards, the trigger rail “likes” west or south). Other profiles can be created by placing and removing different rails.
Activator Rail In Bedrock version:
If there are two adjacent rails on non-opposite sides, or three or more adjacent rails, the trigger rail will align itself to the east-west direction. If there is no adjacent rail, the trigger rail will align itself to the north-south direction (but if the rail is then placed east or west, the trigger rail will reorient itself to the east- west even if it has been located elsewhere). connection with other railways to the north or south). If a track it aligns to is one block higher then the trigger rail tilts up towards it (with multiple options for tilting upwards, the trigger rails “priority” in order: west, east, south and north). Other profiles can be created by placing and removing different rails.
It cannot be placed in mid-air, even by command.
Rail
Trigger rails (and other rails) can be used as “roads” for mine trucks. Mine carts entering the space of the trigger rail from either end of the trigger rail continue to travel, losing only a little bit of velocity (which can then be increased again by powered rail). Cargo vehicles entering the space of the trigger rail from the side will either turn east or south (depending on the direction of the trigger rail) or downward for the inclined trigger track.

- Trigger rails can be used to influence mines to move past them.
Activated
The trigger rail is a redstone mechanism and can be activated by:
an adjacent active power component (e.g. redstone flashlight, redstone block, daylight sensor, etc.)
a contiguously powered block (strongly powered or weakly powered)
a powered redstone comparator or redstone repeater opposite the trigger rail
Powered redstone dust is configured to point at the trigger rail or configured as a plus.โ Trigger rails are not activated by adjacent powered redstone dust configured to point in the other direction.
The activated trigger rail also activates any adjacent trigger rails to which it is connected, up to eight lines away from the original trigger source. Thus, a single trigger source can activate up to 17 rails (one root rail in the middle and 8 rails on either side). An activated trigger rail will not activate adjacent rails that are not connected to it.
Minecraft Activator Rail Behavior
The trigger track affects mine carriers above it with different effects occurring as soon as any part of the excavator is on the trigger track.
An active trigger rail:
- Start to shake and push mobs (including players) out of the mine truck โ the target location is chosen the same as when getting off the mine truck
continuously activate command block miners – a command block miner executes its command every four game ticks until the command block miner is no longer on the trigger track - hopper trolley disable – disabled hopper garbage truck cannot pick up items it moves through until activated by the inactive trigger rail (or until it is damaged and cleared reset)
- Elemental TNT mine carriers โ primed TNT mine carriers detonate after four seconds with an explosive force proportional to their speed on the trigger track.
An inactive trigger rail activates hopper mine carriers – an activated hopper cart picks up items it moves through until it is deactivated by an active trigger rail motion.
