Discover a new guide for ChickenChunks Mod Wiki. ChickenChunks Mod adds a block called Chunkloader. Once this block is placed, the surrounding blocks will continue to load even if no player is around or online. So now your tree can grow and your automatic quarry can run, even when you are not present.
As you know, Minecraft World is divided into many parts. 16×16 areas are loaded depending on how close the player is to them. If you have machines or plants or anything that does something in a chunk that isn’t loaded because there are no players nearby then nothing will happen.
So you’ve seen a few of these before, Teleport Pipes has one, Railcraft has two. Immibis has one. Here is a short feature list.
Mod type:
ChickenChunks Mod Featured:
- Will reload blocks after server restart
- Works with frames
- 100% error-free guarantee (I’ll fix it if you find one).
- External viewer to see the loaded blocks and make sure everything works.
- The server owner can set the number of blocks loaded per player, by dimension and globally.
- Will load and unsize mystcraft as needed.
- Server operators can set them to only work when players are online.
How to use ChickenChunks Mod
Just put the chunkloader down and open the Gui. It now belongs to the person who placed it and the blocks it loads will count towards their limit. You can only open Gui if you own chunkloader.
- The radius determines the number of blocks that will load around this block.
- Shapes are Circle, Square, LineX or LineZ, all self explanatory. Radius 3 with square will load 25Ă—25 block area.
- The number of loaded blocks is shown below the radius.
- The total number of blocks you have loaded in the amount that the server has allowed you is shown at the bottom.
- The laser show button will show several lasers rotating around the loaded blocks to easily see if your blocks are in the loaded area.
ChunkViewer
Using the /chunkloaders command will enable ChunkVeiwer if the server allows you.
It will focus on the player in the current dimension when first activated. You can flow it round through dragging it with the mouse.
- Red blocks are block loaded.
- The yellow block is the chunkloader.
- Green blocks are blocks being held by chunkloader
- The blue blocks are the players.
In the top left you can see the number of chunk loaders, chunks held (by the chunk loaders), chunks loaded, and the number of players in that dimension. The numbers on the axes are block coordinates. The x-axis is horizontal and the z-axis is vertical. Hovering over a chunk loader or player displays information about it as a tooltip. You will see a set of three blocks, one around the player, one around the spawn point, and one around the chunkloader. The GUI closes when you leave the server.
Server configuration options:
- The server moderator can set the number of blocks per player, per dimension and overall allowed to load.
- The server can also add player names to the list, so the chunkloader will only work if the player is online.
- There is also an option to disable automatic world loading for mystcraft sizes if you don’t want them hogging your processor/disk after reboot.
