Discover a new guide for Guard Villagers Mod Wiki. Guardian Villagers will turn some Villagers into Guardians, equipped with Armor, Swords, and Crossbows. They will protect a Village from intruders like Zombies and can recruit more Guardians at any time.

Guard Villagers Mod Feature
When locating a Village, you will now see that Guardians will appear, normally around 6. These are Villagers equipped with both Armor and Weapons. They can wear Iron or Leather equipment and are equipped with Swords or Crossbows.
They will work together with the Iron Golem to destroy anyone who disrupts the peace of the Village. So that can include Zombies and any Pilager-type mobs, making them especially useful for defeating Raid.
Protective interaction
Nitwits are unemployed villagers. Right-click Crossbows or Swords to convert them into Guardians, improving the Village’s defenses. However, there are some special options when it comes to the Hero of the Village Effect.
When the effect is active, to Protect to open their inventory you can right click on the Villager. Here you can equip them with new items such as Enchanted Netherite so they can better defend the Village. Giving them Potions and Food will also help them recover in battle.
There are 2 buttons that you may notice. When the left button is pressed, the player will hire a Guardian Villager and they will follow you. Meanwhile, the button on the left will cause a Guardian Villager to patrol the area where it is.
Remember, you can only open a Guardian Villager’s skin when the Village Hero effect is active.
AI changes
- Witch attacks the villagers
- During raids, villagers kill any animal they see
- Villagers and Illagers are afraid of polar bears
- Priests heal defenders, villagers, and players with low health Village Heroes using regeneration potions, and blacksmiths repair iron golems with ingots.
Other minor additions include:
- Illusions, previously removed, now appear in attacks
- The big-headed baby villager from the platform has been added
