Discover a new guide for SimpleOres Mod Wiki. SimpleOres Mod is a relatively small mod that adds 5 new ores to the base game: Adamantium, Copper, Tin, Mythril, and Onyx. While Onyx can only be found in the Nether, all but Onyx can be found in the afterlife. Each ore type has its own attributes, armor, and toolkit.
This mod revolves around being an “ore” mod, adding new metals to the game, with a serious focus on balance, what sets it apart from other ore mods.

SimpleOres Mod Features:
Ores
Copper ore:
Copper Ore is one of two that you can encounter very close to starting a new world, with the other being Tin Ore. Copper ore is abundant and can be found at elevation 90 (by default).
The primary use of Copper Ore is smelting into Copper Ingots using a Furnace, as illustrated below. The copper ingot can then be used for a lot of things, such as Bronze Tools, Bronze Armor, etc.
Copper Ore spawns in the Afterlife, where it can spawn at heights of up to 90, with 35 blocks appearing in each block, in a circuit of up to 7 blocks. Copper Ore spawn rate, spawn height, and vein size can all be changed using Profiles.
When destroyed with the Stone pickaxe tool, Copper Ore will drop by itself. Copper Ore is not affected by Silk Touch or Fortune enchantments, just like Iron Ore.
Tin ore
Tin is the second ore you will likely encounter when starting a new world, with the other being Copper Ore. Tin Ore is only slightly less, but spawns at the same altitude of 90, almost as abundant as Copper.
The main use of Tin Ore is to be melted into Tin Ingots using a Furnace, as illustrated below. The tin ingot can then be used for many things, such as Tin Tools, Tin Armor, and more.
- Tin Ore appeared in the Overworld,
- Where it can appear at altitudes up to 90,
- With 30 blocks appearing in each block,
- In a circuit there are up to 7 blocks.
- Tin Ore spawn rate
- Appearance height and vein size can both be changed using Profiles.
- When broken better or with a pickaxe Stone.
- Tin Ore will fall out on its own.
- Tin Ore is not affected by Silk Touch or Fortune enchantments, just like Iron Ore.
Mythril Ore
- Mythril ore is the first really interesting ore you come across.
- Unlike Tin and Copper
- Mythril only spawns below class 35 and has a lower spawn rate.
- Mythril can be used to craft some powerful and unique items.
- Make it an ore worth seeking out.
- Mythril Ore’s primary use is to be melted into Mythril Ingots using a Furnace, as illustrated below.
Mythril Ingot can then be leveraged for a lot of things, such as:
- Mythril Tools
- Mythril Armor
- Mythril Bow
- Mythril Furnace, etc.
Mythril ore spawns in the Overworld, where it can spawn at heights of up to 35, with 8 blocks spawning in each block, in a circuit of up to 4 blocks. Mythril Ore spawn rate, spawn height, and vein size can all be changed using Profiles.
When broken with an Iron pickaxe or better, Mythril Ore will drop by itself. Mythril Ore is not affected by Silk Touch or Fortune enchantments, just like Iron Ore.
Adamantium Ore
Adamantium ore is the third ore introduced by SimpleOres, after Mythril and Copper/Tin. Adamantium ores will only spawn below layer 20 and have a lower spawn rate than Mythril.
Adamantium Ore
- When used to create work
- Has a very high mining speed
- You will definitely want to collect as much of this ore as possible.
The primary use of Adamantium Ore is to be smelted into Adamantium Ingots using a Furnace, as illustrated below.
- Adamantium Ingots can be used for many things, such as Adamantium Tools, Adamantium Armor, and more.
- Adamantium Ore appeared in the Overworld
- Where it can appear at altitudes up to 20
- With 4 blocks appearing in each block
- In one vein there is a maximum of 4 blocks.
- Adamantium Ore spawn rate, spawn height, and vein size can all be changed using Profiles.
When broken with the Iron pickaxe tool, Adamantium Ore will drop by itself. Adamantium Ore is not affected by Silk Touch or Fortune enchantments, just like Iron Ore.
Onyx Ore
Onyx ore is the next ore in the last ore tier in SimpleOres.
- Unlike the other 5 ores,
- All born on the Overworld
- Onyx Ore only spawns in hell,
- Where it blends with all the other Netherbrick blocks.
- Has a very high number of uses with items crafted from Onyx.
The main use of Onyx Ore is that when impacted by the player, it will drop the Onyx Gem, which is obtained by smelting the ore in the Furnace or dropped when the block is broken, as illustrated below. The Onyx gem can then be used for many things.
Such as:
- Onyx Tools
- Onyx armor
- Onyx Bow and
- Onyx Furnace, etc.
Onyx ore only spawns in the Nether, where it can spawn at any height, with 5 blocks spawning in each block, in a circuit up to 8 blocks (although it will never reach this due to lower number of blocks per block).
- Due to its texture,
- Onyx Ore blends in with its surroundings
- Hard to spot it from afar.
- Onyx Ore spawn rate, spawn height, and vein size can all be changed using Profiles.
Blocks
Adamantium block
- The Adamantium Block is a craftable item. It cannot be found in the world. Mainly used to store Adamantium Ingots or as a decorative element.
Agate block
- The Onyx Block is a craftable item. It cannot be found in the world. Mainly used to store Onyx Gems or as a decorative element.
Copper Block
- Bronze Blocks do not appear in normally generated maps anywhere, they are decorative mineral blocks made from Copper Ingots.
- Bronze Blocks can be created by placing 9 Copper Ingots in the crafting grid. This is a convenient way to store large amounts of ingots, as they can be recovered by placing blocks in the crafting grid, in return for all 9 ingots.
Tin Block
- The Tin Block is a craftable item. It cannot be found in the world. Mainly used to store Tin Ingots or as a decorative element.
Mythril Block
- Mythril Block is a craftable item. It cannot be found in the world. Mainly used to store Mythril Ingots or as a decorative element.
Items
Copper Bucket of Water:
The item “Bronze Water Bucket” is a bronze Bucket containing water.
The copper bucket functions like the iron bucket. Right-click on the water to “pick up” a block of water in the Copper Barrel. This is displayed in the inventory as a “Bronze Water Bucket”. Copper buckets containing water are not stackable. Hold the Water Bucket and right-click on a block to “pour” water onto the adjacent surface of that block.
A Copper Bucket full of water cannot be melted down to recover Copper. Empty the bin first.
Copper Ingot:
Copper Ingot is a material obtained by melting Copper Ore in a Furnace. Copper Ingots are used to craft a variety of items such as Bronze Tools, Bronze Armor, Bronze Buckets, and more.
Tin Ingot:
Tin Ingot is a material obtained by melting Tin Ore in a Furnace. Tin Ingots are used to craft a variety of items such as Tin Tools, Tin Armor, Tin Scissors, and more.
Mythril ingot:
Mythril Ingot is a material obtained by melting Mythril Ore in a Furnace. Mythril Ingots are used to create a variety of items such as Mythril Tools, Mythril Armor, Mythril Bows, Mythril Furnace, and more.
Adamantium ingot:
Adamantium Ingot is a material obtained by melting Adamantium Ore in a Furnace. Adamantium Ingots are used to create a variety of items such as Adamantium Tools, Adamantium Armor, Adamantium Scissors, and more.
Onyx Gem:
Onyx (or Onyx Gem) is a gem that drops when Onyx Ore is mined with a Diamond pickaxe or better. Agate is used to create a variety of items such as Agate Tool, Agate Armor, Agate Bow and Agate Furnace, etc. Agate can be obtained by mining Agate Ore, which will cause the gem to fall out of the block, or it can be melted in a Furnace if Silk Touch is used to mine ore.
Mythril Rod:
Mythril Rod is a crafting material in Minecraft, it is made from two Mythril Ingots. The Mythril Rod is used to craft the Mythril Bow.
Onyx Rod:
Onyx Rod is a crafting material, made from two Agate Gems. The Onyx Bar is used to craft the Onyx Bow.
Bronze bucket:
The Bronze Bucket is made of Copper, not Iron. Copper has a melting point too low to contain lava, and copper coagulates milk. However, the Copper Barrel will transport water.
The copper bucket has an advantage over the iron bucket. Copper is more abundant and generally available earlier than Iron, allowing for easy use early in the game (when Iron is better used for tools and armor). Additionally, a Copper Barrel can be melted back into the three Copper Ingots used to craft it. This means that a large number of Copper Barrels can be crafted to transport a larger amount of water, which is then fully restored to the original crafting material.
Tools
Copper tools:
Bronze tools are tools made from Copper Ingots. These tools are often crafted early in the game as an alternative to Stone tools. They have a higher number of uses and slightly higher enchantment than stone tools.
Tin tools:
Tin Tools are tools made from Tin Ingots. These tools are often crafted early in the game as an alternative to Stone Tools or Bronze Tools. They have a higher number of uses and slightly higher enchantment than stone tools.
The Mythril Tool:
Mythril Tools are tools made from Mythril Ingots. These tools are often used as an intermediate route between Iron tools and Adamantium or Diamond tools. They have 3x more Iron tool casts (about half as much as Diamonds), however they have the same speed, damage versus entities, and enchantment as or better than Diamonds , making them a very valuable tool.
Adamantium Tool:
Adamantium Tools are tools made from Adamantium Ingots. These tools are often used as an alternative to Diamonds, due to their very high mining speed. While they have a lower cast count and very low enchantment, the Adamantium tools are 1.75 times faster than the Diamond tools, making them fast.
Onyx Tool:
The Onyx Tool is made from the Onyx Gemstone. These tools are upgrades from Diamond, due to their much higher durability. The Onyx Engine is superior to the Diamond Tool in every way.
Armor
Bronze Armor:
Bronze Armor is armor made from Copper Ingots. It is used early in the game as a replacement for Leather Armor, and is inferior to Iron Armor. It provides protection against damage, depending on the number of pieces equipped.
Tin Armor:
Tin Armor is armor made from Tin Ingots. It is used early in the game as a replacement for Leather Armor, and is inferior to Iron Armor. It provides protection against damage, depending on the number of pieces equipped.
Mythical Armor:
Mythril Armor is armor made from Mythril Ingots. The combination of the two can give you outstanding protection. It is roughly equivalent to Iron Armor. It provides protection against damage, depending on the number of pieces equipped.
Adamantium Armor:
Adamantium Armor is armor made from Adamantium Ingots. It is superior to both Iron and Mythril Armor in defense and durability, however it has a much lower enchantment. It provides protection against damage, depending on the number of pieces equipped.
Onyx Armor:
Onyx Armor is armor made from Onyx. It is superior to even diamonds, with a higher defensive value. It provides protection against damage, depending on the number of pieces equipped.
