Botania is a tech mod that revolves around natural magic. It focuses on creating magical equipment using Mana and flowers, the power of the earth. Botania is fully playable as a standalone mod (and designed as such), but it only works well in combination with other mods.

The mod focuses on automation, but without the elements that make it feel confusing– systems can be devised and designed, rather than blindly built from blueprints in JEI or wiki.

Botania’s design philosophy

They are boring and overdone due to No pipes, wires etc.
No GUI: interact with everything in the world;
No numbers: players should not try to minimize everything;
Keep all resources renewable;
Provides a pleasing image, albeit using only two different particle effects.

Botania’s Goals

Breaking the mold of mods means the end– enter the gameplay as well as the rewards;
Offers fairly balanced and dramatic gameplay without forcing players to brood;
Encourages sandbox gameplay and allows players to create interesting tools;
Create an overall immersive experience.

Botania Features

Decorate your world with colors. Botania creates a total of 16 new flowers, all of which are used for decoration and crafting. In addition, they have shiny particles and can be used for dyeing.

Unique power supply:

With its original energy, target and timing system, Botania feels much different from your usual tech or magic mods. Being able to See and Control the Mana it flows in real time can bring a new light to your base.

Immersion & Automation:

Botania brings work to the world, no GUI for interaction philosophy and careful design to ensure almost everything is fully automatable in itself. For some thoughts, of course.
