Scannable Mod

Scannable mod wiki is a small addition to the smart explorer’s tool belt (as in yours). Also, eye candy.

Scannable
Scannable

It provides a scanner item that can survey the neighborhood for points of interest. Scan results are displayed shortly in a clear and legible way, as world highlights or appropriately positioned overlays. Did I mention eye candy? Which results are displayed depends on the modules in the scanner. Up to three modules can be installed at the same time. Default modules include:

detect animals (e.g. cows, pigs)
detect monsters (e.g. zombies, creepers)
entity detection (configurable for a specific entity)
common ore detection (e.g. coal, iron)
rare ore discovery (e.g. gold, diamond)
liquid detection (e.g. water, lava)
block detection (configurable for a specific block)
increase scope
Unless disabled in the configuration, the scanner will act as a chargeable item, using the Forge energy API. The energy consumed for each scan depends on the modules installed in the scanner. The scanner can be recharged in any charging mod block compatible with the Forge Energy API.

Last but not least, there is – you guessed it – eye candy. Here is a quick video illustrating the mod.
