Bookshelves can be created in village libraries and sometimes village houses.
The citadel can contain up to two libraries, each of which can have a floor or a balcony above. They have some bookshelves arranged in columns and more bookshelves arranged in columns on the wall. The single-story library has 161 bookshelves, while the balcony library has 233 bookshelves.
Bookshelves are also naturally created in some forest villa rooms.
Bookshelf Minecraft Break
Bookshelves can be broken quite easily by hand, but can be broken more quickly with an axe. In both cases, they dropped three books when damaged, allowing the bookshelf to be reconstructed by adding six additional wooden planks. When broken by an item imbued with Silk Touch, a bookshelf will fall down on its own.

Enchanted
If an enchantment table is placed near a bookshelf, glyph particles will fly from the bookshelf towards the enchantment table. Placing a bookshelf in an appropriate location near the table allows the table to apply higher level enchantments.

Bookshelves can be placed under note blocks to create a “bass” sound.

- The top and bottom textures of the bookshelf by default use the same texture as the oak planks.
- It takes 90 planks, 45 pelts, and 135 pieces of paper to make 15 bookshelves to get the level 30 enchantment.
- The bookshelf is the symbol of the Education Edition.
