The One Probe Mod Wiki is an extended edition of WAILA. It displays the information about a block you are looking at on the screen.
About the mod
This Map and Information mod for Minecraft gives you a good grasp of a block that you are looking at. All of its information will be displayed on the screen when you look at it. However, this happens only when you hold the probe in your hand or off-hand.
The mod displays some basic information such as:
- The block’s name.
- The mod that is for that block.
- The tool that you utilize to collect the block.
- It also displays the amount of RF energy that the block is storing (if RF is supported by the block).
- If you sneak it, you can also see a list of items contained in the block provided that it is an inventory (similar to a chest).
You can configure the mod to display the information all the time, which is similar to WAILA.

You will find this mod more interesting to use thanks to the following features:
- By default, you are required to create the probe so you can learn the information about the block you are looking at. However, you don’t have to do this if you disable the requirement in the config.
- Simply place the probe in your off hand or normal hand so it can be functional.
- It displays RF information provided that RF is supported by the block.
- When you sneak, you can see the inventory contents for chests or other inventories.
- You will know the necessary tool you use to collect a block.
- The probe also displays the Redstone power level at the given side of the block.
- It lets you know the growth level of a crop.
- The One Probe displays the liquids if you enable it. You use I to toggle it.
- You will learn information about the mobs.
- The mod also displays active potion effects on the mob. You can see it only when you sneak it.
- You can reconfigure the position and the appearance of the probe information tooltip through the command: “/topcfg” (client-side).
- Open the theoneprobe.cfg file so you can make changes to the settings.
- An API is given to allow the mods to add their own information for the probe.
The mod comes with some different modes
The mod features three probe modes, including:
- Normal: You utilize this mode when you hold a probe in your hand. It displays the basic information.
- Extended: This mode is utilized when you sneak it. It displays extra information.
- Admin: This mode is only displayed when you have the creative probe in your hand.
Notes
- You can configure the mod to your likings. When you configure it, you can turn off the features mentioned above if they are not suitable for your playstyle or your modpack.
- The mod comes with an API. Hence, other mods can utilize it to add more information.
- This mod is used by Deep Resonance to display information about the crystals and liquids.
- The mod is also supported by RFTools.
- You can put this mod into your favorite modpacks.
- You can let the mod run on versions 1.10.2 and 1.11.2 with the identical JAR.
- Version 1.12 is different and it does not need to have CompatLayer installed.
The One Probe Mod helps you gather all information about the blocks and things you are looking at in an easy way. You may find it much better than the WAILA mod.

How to install:
Make sure you have already installed Minecraft Forge.
Locate the minecraft application folder.
- Open Run from the start menu.
- Type %appdata%, click Run.
Input where The One Probe Mod you have just downloaded (.jar file) into the Mods The One Probe Mod folder.
