Discover a new guide for Roamers Mod Wiki. Roamers Mod is a mod that adds fancy and weird characters to Minecraft, very human-like with the ability to build, mine, and craft.
Type mod:
Feature:
Wanderers:
- Plain Race: Spawns in Forest Biomes (Default Race)
- Savanna Race: Spawning in the Savanna Biome
- Badlands Race: Spawning in the Badlands Biome
- Desert Race: Spawn in Desert Biomes
- Jungle Race: Spawn in a sparse jungle biome
- Taiga Race: Appears in Taiga Biome
- Artic Race: Appears in Ice Spikes Biome
Building problems:
Camp-fire:
- The hikers will first light a campfire. This is the characteristic that marks where they live.
- They will likely break blocks within a 10 block radius around the campfire if the land is wooded or uneven near their place to clear the area.
House:
After marking their homes with bonfires, the wanderers will begin to build their homes. The actual house is a saved NBT structure that they will build in the game, with different rotation directions and a minimum of 2 blocks from the campfire.
Each house is different and is made of various materials depending on the race of the Roamer. For example, a desert house is made of sandstone, a taiga house is made of spruce wood, and an art house is an igloo! To get these materials, they would cut down trees for wood, dig sand for sandstone, or dig up snow to make igloos.
*Roamers will not break blocks placed by themselves or the player. However, they will break blocks placed by the player if those blocks are placed before loading into the mod. To avoid grief, you can start a new world with mods installed or configure their ability to break blocks in the config file!*
Chests and Beds:
After the final block is placed for their house, they will decorate the inside of their house with a chest and a bed. Currently, Roamers don’t sleep in beds, but infants will play on the bed just like villager children, and adults will use their chests to empty their full inventory and take out items if needed.
Players can interact with Wanderers and have relationship statuses! This state is stored with the player’s name attached, so each player will have different interactions.
Physically wounded wanderers will greatly reduce your relationships, but you are very friendly, they will throw you food if you need it and will protect you from an attacking entity. friend.
Types of positive interactions:
- Feeding
- Give away valuable items
- Let the baby eat cookies
- Donate building materials
- Player Descendants:
- The Player Descendant is a new character added in Version 1.3, with the ability to help parents gather ingredients.
Reproduction:
Descendants are not born naturally into the world. They can only be obtained between Players and Wanderers. The Wanderer must have max affinity status with the Player, and when right-clicking on the flower, a new Descendant will be spawned, a miniature clone of their main player!
Inventory:
Descendants will have an interactive baggage with the player they are impersonated, unlike other characters. They will have item slots and armor slots. You can get or remove items from slots like chests. To access their inventory, you have to crouch and right-click on them.
Work and relationships:
When the Descendant child is born, they will not know you and there will be no relationship. That means they won’t do any housework for you. You have to throw them food or valuable items to gain their trust. From there, if they become friendly with you, you’ll unlock the ability to help with ore mining, logging, hunting, farming, cooking, and even fishing for treasure.
However, they won’t even follow you if they have a strained relationship with you. Hungry or starving descendants will stop doing housework altogether, so you have to keep them healthy and happy.
Bandits are like Wanderers, but not Build or Mining. Instead, they prefer to loot, kill and steal!
Reproduction:
Bandits don’t spawn naturally into the world, but spawn similar to loot patrols. With a random chance after 4 in-game days, a group of Bandits may appear in the vicinity of the player. They are equipped with axes and swords, and if killed, they have a chance to drop treasures, like golden apples, diamonds or even enchanted books! They will only spawn if the player is in the biomes the Wanderers spawn in, like forests, deserts, barren lands, etc. Bandits also have different races and can be male or female when spawning
Steal:
Beware of any chests nearby! Bandits open them and take away any items they deem valuable enough to steal, such as food and valuables. Worse still, after looting is done, they will destroy the chest, regardless of whether the player placed it or not. They will also steal your items if you are killed by them and will wear any armor you have, making them even more dangerous! You must kill them if you want to get these items back, .
Hopeless:
- If not actively attacking, Bandits will have a chance to disappear after 2 in-game days, regardless of whether they have any stolen items or not.
Target:
- Bandits kill Players, Wanderers, and Villagers. Iron Golems will also attack Bandits without reason.
Mood and traits:
- These are features added in version 1.4 that affect character behavior. All Characters are born with a trait, but moods are dynamic and changeable.
- Players can influence the character’s mood with their actions.
- Example: Giving a baby a cookie will make the baby very happy. Hitting a tramp will make them angry. If a wandering parent has a dead child, they become depressed.
- Negative moods like sadness and depression will greatly affect the characters and their ability to work, and Depression will bring most of their activities to a halt.
- Mood has a timer and will revert to neutral when the timer reaches 0.
- Some traits will even affect mood. For example, Grumpy characters will find it difficult to be happy, and hot heads will become angry instead of angry.
- Traits also influence behavior similar to mood. Babies with Hot, Brave or Heroic personalities will really fight back if hurt by an entity and Grumpy babies don’t play in bed.
Mood:
- Delighted
- Sad
- Depression
- Angry
- Angry
- In love
- Neutral
Characteristic:
- Hot-tempered
- Graduate
- Passive
- Strong
- Brave
- Careful
- Friendly
- Loyal
- Cantankerous
- Hero
Claustrophobia:
If a character finds out that they are in a confined space, their mood states will gradually deplete and depending on how long they are in that small room, they may become depressed. This also affects Player Descendants. Being in a cave or underground tunnel will also affect their mood state, but will drain more slowly if they are actively Mining.
All of these features are configurable and can be changed to false in the configuration file if desired.
