The first game forces you to use everything. Assemblers and even laboratories need fuel. Comes with a long sleeve burner insert. It was a fun challenge but it also went by pretty quickly. That’s fine because it also gets pretty tedious.

You can remove everything from the beginning of the game. All those fuel belts worry me.

The mid-game also offers some exciting new challenges. My favorite part is the multiple ore smelting stages to improve their output. You don’t unlock them all at once, so you have to go through many iterations to find a smart setting. In addition, the second stage introduces by-products and dirty water, which need to be cleaned and involve all sorts of flux problems with pipes.

The game adds a large set of intermediate products. While vanilla has iron gears and copper cables, IR has dozens of these per metal (and of course, more metals) in two stages (built directly from ingots and materials). combinations of those categories).

Higher-level intermediates enter the logistics network, while lower-level intermediates (first stage, single metal) can only be produced locally wherever needed. . This is my last iron.

The great variety of intermediates also means a much wider variety of recipes, especially for buildings. In vanilla you can craft most buildings from about 8 different basic components which makes it easy to automate them all in one line and feed this to the main bus. In IR that is not enough. If you try to build a factory late game with no logistics it will be a complete cluster or you just use a giant bus and have a factory spread over a large area . I won’t try.

Use more assembler for assembler. In vanilla, For copper cables with green and red circuits, everything else gets material through the belt. In IQT, the variety of low-end intermediates means it makes sense to have a tight group of assemblers that link directly together. This is my late game heavy duty coil production.

The nuclear reactors are all the same, so you can just reuse your vanilla setup. They are complex enough and have allowed you to play around with the circuits a bit.

Graphics

This model is beautiful. The absolute favorite of miners. They are the only part of this mod that will go straight to vanilla. They look a lot better, and those huge late game miners are more comfortable to deal with on large patches of ore.

Limit wear:

As you progress through the metal ages of the game, you’ll end up with some old machines that are no longer needed. The “heritage chest” we all know and love will be a lot fuller than vanilla. But removing those doesn’t really add much compared to the amount of materials consumed in a late game factory. It was a huge improvement to simplify the disassembly that existed in the previous version but even now it’s still not really worth the effort.

Version 1.0.0 brings the much-needed rebalancing of metal consumption rates to science. An addition is an alternative refining step with a higher by-product yield.
