The version of the ComPatchedStorage is an updated fork of the CompactStorage mod. It consists of all of the original fixes that the present mod offers in 1.12.

Here are issues that 1.12 fixed:
Add the IItemHandler capability to the Compact Chest, starting most modded machines to run with it.
Delete the broken no-NBT compact chest from JEI.
Solve fences connecting to Compact Chests.
Turn off log spam when clicking the button in the chest builder
Fix NBT oversync in the backpack, compact chest, with chest builder.
Fix a crash when a hopper reacted to the chest builder.
Every feature is begun with registry overrides or events. Note that it is not a core mod. Any overridden item will show its owner as “ComPatchedStorage” instead of “CompactStorage”.

How to install:
Make sure you have already installed Minecraft Forge.
Locate the minecraft application folder.
- Open Run from the start menu.
- Type %appdata%, click Run.
Input where ComPatchedStorage Mod you have just downloaded (.jar file) into the Mods ComPatchedStorage Mod folder.
When you open Minecraft, you see the mod is installed when click the button mods
