Simple Storage Network is a rather small but useful mod that adds a mechanism to store items and blocks in chests, thanks to which you will be able to organize items into individual chests and more.
Create a storage system
The complete storage system consists of several blocks: the chest, the main storage network, the storage request table, and the cables leading to the chest. The main block in the system is the master storage network, built from four quartz blocks, four storage cables and a diamond. To see all blocks connected to the system, click RMB on the storage network master.
Use new block
An equally important block is the storage requirements table, through which you can view the crafts. It is also used to view and request items in chests. This block is crafted from four gold bars, four cables, and a crafting table.
Connection block
Storage cables are used to connect this entire storage system, . They are crafted from six stone slabs and two iron ingots. It is connected to a block by pressing Shift+RMB. You can also create a storage link cable that is used for networking. It is made up of five storage cables.
Connection types
There are also other types of cables for a variety of purposes. The export cable ensures the transfer of items from the network to the connected warehouse. It is created from a piston and storage cable. In contrast, inbound cables move certain items from the warehouse to the network. It is constructed from four storage cables and a hopper. Processing cables automate the processing of simple transactions. It is created from four gold pieces, four storage cables, and observers.
Important information needed to connect properly
The main storage network and the storage request board cannot be connected by cable – they must be adjacent. To understand whether the system is working or not, click on the storage requirements table. A GUI should appear, with boxes like in the crafting table and showing all the resources in the chest.
Controller: Control block
The cables also have their own GUI where you can change the parameters of the incoming blocks. For more convenient control of all process cables in the network, a controller has been added. It is crafted from four blocks of lapis lazuli, four handle cables, and obsidian.
Increases item transfer speed
By default, the speed on cable is low and items will be transmitted with delay over long distances. To speed up this process, you can apply the Speed upgrade crafted from two gold bars, two redstone blocks, and a storage cable.
There are two more upgrades, one of which is the Stack upgrade, through which you can increase the size of a stack of a certain task. Thanks to the Activity upgrade, you can automatically start or stop casting depending on the chest’s contents. The Stack upgrade is crafted from two redstone blocks, two fire powders, and a storage cable. The Active upgrade is made up of two redstone comparators, two redstone blocks, and a storage cable.
There’s also a Stock upgrade that places maximum items in connected storage cubes. It only applies to export cables and is constructed from two redstone comparators and one storage cable.
So that players can access the network remotely, there is a storage remote, crafted from four gold bars, two export cables, two import cables, and one storage cable.
To use the network over an unlimited distance, you should upgrade your remote storage. The upgrade is crafted from the last four pearls, magma, glowstone, two gold bars, and the network master.
All these upgrades only work in one direction. To use the network while in another dimension, an advanced storage remote is required, crafted from two purpur blocks, magma, fire rod, four final pearls, and the nether star.
