Discover a new guide for End Crystal Minecraft Wiki. The Last Crystal is an entity that can be crafted or found on the main island of End, where it heals Ender dragons. It can only be placed on obsidian or bedrock and explodes instantly when attacked or damaged in most ways
Reproduction
One end crystal is found on each jasper column on the central island of End, each on a piece of bedrock. A total of the last 10 crystals, of which 2 are protected in “cages” by iron rods. All the last crystals respawn one after another when the ender dragon’s respawn begins

Heal the ender dragon
Their main purpose is to restore health to the ender dragon, who receives an electric charge from the nearest crystal in a cube extending 32 blocks from the dragon in all directions. The dragon is healed 1♥ every half second. If multiple dragons end up being spawned, one last crystal can affect multiple dragons at once. The healing ray is unobstructed and its power is not diminished by entities or blocks.
Ender dragon revival
As items, final crystals can be placed on bedrock and obsidian, if the two blocks above the bedrock or obsidian are air or replaceable blocks and have no entities differ in the region. When an end crystal is placed at the end, a fire block will be created at the end crystal position. If four are placed on the final exit portal, one in each plane, the crystals will revive the original last crystals on the obsidian columns, as well as resurrect the dragon itself before exploding. This happens even if TNT explosion is disabled in the settings.
If the exit portal is damaged for any reason, crystals can still be placed on obsidian blocks in the same location as the exit portal.
Explosion
The last crystal explodes when hit or damaged in most ways, even with attacks that don’t normally deal damage. They are unaffected by exploding fireworks and if damaged by an explosion, they will disappear instead of exploding.[Java version only][1] The explosion of the last crystal has an explosive magnitude of 6, like a charged creeper. The flame of the last crystal usually remains after the crystal explodes. Any ender dragon that rushes from the crystal when it is destroyed takes 10 damage.
In the Java Version, the explosion of the end crystal can be blocked by a shield.
Although the ender dragon deals damage to most blocks and entities in its path, it cannot destroy end crystals just by getting close to them.
Putting water on the last crystal nullifies the blast effect, but does no damage or knockback.
The last crystals with blackstone or bedrock underneath will not damage the blocks below when they explode.
In Bedrock Edition, misplacing the mobGriefing game rules will prevent the End Crystal from destroying any blocks. Though in the Java Version the same game rule won’t prevent the End Crystal from destroying any blocks.
End Crystal Beams
The last crystal naturally fires a bolt at the last dragon and heals it when the dragon is within range. This ray can be created manually with the command /data-merge entity @e[type=end_crystal,limit=1] {BeamTarget:{X:0, Y:0, Z:0}}. The beam can be directed in any direction, allowing it to mark locations or objects.
Property
End crystals are of two types: those with a base underneath created by game mechanics or with the /summon command; while those without a base are created by the player by manually placing crystal items on top of tar or bedrock.
The base appears to be made of bedrock, with a crystal suspended on it. While at the End, a crystal continuously generates fire in its current position, one block above the base (just above the block the base is embedded in), displacing any other blocks at that location. This fire has the ability to spread.
The final crystalline entity is not solid and can pass through freely. The end crystals can be propelled by pistons, but they will explode if moved while burning. Because fire is checked only when an entity moves, end crystals usually do not take damage from their own fire unless moved.
